The Best Ways to Welcome Autumn

Hi Everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well!

Are you all ready for Autumn yet? We’ve had a glorious summer here in the UK, but the temperature is now beginning to fall, the evenings are slowly drawing in and the shops are full of cosy jumpers, ankle boots and scarves. It’s good for our bodies and minds to observe the changing seasons rather than simply rushing through life. There are so many things to love and appreciate about autumn – from the gorgeous colours of the leaves, to snuggling up at home under a blanket with Netflix of an evening. Here’s how to let a little Autumn into your life…

Treat Yourself To Some New Pieces

Updating your wardrobe for the cooler weather has to be one of the most fun aspects of the new season. Finding that perfect fuzzy textured knit or those killer studded ankle boots to layer up is a great chance to refresh your style. You can go classic or choose to give a nod to one of the new season’s hit trends with a bold leopard print knit or a button-front corduroy pinafore dress.

Dress Your Bedroom Too

Another great part of the changing seasons is getting to change up your bedroom too with a few key accessories. A textured faux fur throw, some knitted cushions and a soft lambswool blanket will make the ideal relaxing, stylish space. Perhaps it’s also time to invest in a chic bedside lamp or a set of fairy lights to add a warming ambience – and don’t forget to dot round a few soy wax scented candles to finish the autumnal effect off.

Embrace Your Favourite Autumn Foods

Autumn is a time to embrace warming foods that will nourish your body. Try a spiced turmeric latte with cinnamon, black pepper, almond milk and honey or try a delicious Thai green curry with coconut rice. Soup is also the perfect autumn meal – try roast butternut squash and nutmeg, or broccoli, kale, bacon and blue cheese. If you need a soup maker, take a look at Review Loft with their roundup.

Take A Nature Walk

Take some time to gently recharge yourself with an autumn nature walk. Sipping on a warming latte while looking at the beautiful jewel tones of the leaves, see if you can spot squirrels and blackbirds and perhaps even pick some blackberries, apples or elderberries- perfect with some gin and ginger ale.

Follow Some Autumnal Hashtags

Indulge In A Restorative Bath

There’s nothing better than a warm and welcoming bath. Load it up with moisturising scented oils and detoxifying Epsom salts with eucalyptus or lavender. Use it as a chance to catch up on pampering – stick your favourite calming playlist on and grab a cleansing mud facemask and a deep smoothing hair mask for some serious self care time.

See you in my next post <3
