Hi Everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well!
Now I’m sure that you have all guessed from the title what this blog post is about. For those of you who follow me on social media, you have probably already caught on to the fact that I have quit my job, but I still just wanted to do a full announcement here.
I first started my blog just over 3 years ago, at a time when I didn’t even realise that being a full time blogger was a realistic career choice. I had gained followers online after I started a bit of modelling as a teenager. After a while I decided to put these images into my very own blog where I could talk about how to style items and discuss current trends. My blog and social media grew throughout university and I ended up landing lots of amazing brand collaborations.
Despite the fact that my blog was doing well, I still decided to accept a full-time job after university in PR and Marketing. I very quickly learnt how difficult it was to juggle both a full-time job and my blog and I started to struggle. It quickly became a “now or never”situation where I could either leave my job and pursue my dreams or stay in a stable job but give up lots of amazing experiences and never give myself the chance to run my own business.
A few months ago I finally made the decision to leave my job and pursue a career as a full-time blogger and social media consultant. So far it’s been going really well. I love the flexibility and the creative control and, most importantly, I get to work with amazing and inspiring brands each day.
I wanted to write this to give you a bit of an update, but also to encourage all of you to be brave and follow your dreams. I have recently taken a chance which has really paid off and I feel happier and more fulfilled than ever before. So make sure to follow your dreams and be brave enough to make positive changes in your life.
I have said all of this and more in my YouTube video so make sure to have a watch of it to hear even more about my business and what I’m doing now.
See you all my in my next post <3
Clara
