My Giraffe Experience at Exeter’s Princesshay

Hey Everyone,

Hope you’re all doing well!

So today I’m going to be telling you about my experience visiting Giraffe in Exeter’s Princesshay Shopping Centre. Giraffe is a really unique restaurant as it has dishes from all around the world. It’s nice to see that they have such a diverse menu as it means that anyone can find something they like. I know I found it almost impossible to choose a meal as there were so many different dishes to pick from.

Princesshay was kind enough to treat my friends and I to a meal to review our experience and the meal we had. I always love the restaurants in Princesshay as they always have friendly and helpful staff, and are situated in a really central location. Giraffe in particular has some lovely décor and is a stone’s throw from lots of other shops, cafes and restaurants.

It was interesting to come here with this set of friends as Ellie is vegan and Chris is a very picky eater. Charlotte and I are very similar in the fact that we love all food but I’ve recently been suffering from a few food intolerances so now have to be more careful about what I eat. It was really nice going out with this group to see how the restaurant catered to each of us.

The staff were really helpful and were immediately able to give Ellie a good vegan option (something that a lot of restaurants cannot usually do). The rest of us were also able to quickly find something that we liked off the menu. The staff knew a lot about their food and were able to advise us on what to order and tell us about all the different flavours and ingredients that were in their food.

Overall, we really liked our chosen meals! Ellie had the Indo- Coco Curry, Chris had the Rodeo Chicken Burger, Charlotte had the Thai Duck Stir Fry and I had the Grilled Sirloin Steak. These dishes were well presented, well-cooked and seasoned just the right amount. The experience left me questioning why I don’t visit Giraffe and other restaurants in Princesshay more often. The restaurant doesn’t have a huge capacity but making the effort to reserve a table here is definitely worth the effort. I ended up having a great time with my friends with helpful staff and some lovely food. If you are ever in this area and don’t know where to eat then make sure to head over to Princesshay as they have some wonderful restaurants to try out.

Also, thank you so much to Princesshay and Giraffe for treating us to a meal. I cannot wait to visit again soon!

Leave a comment down below letting me know what your favourite place to eat is and I look forward to talking with you in my next blog post!
