Travels: Italy

Hey Everyone,

Just got back from Italy and it was AMAZING! Honestly, I don’t know why I don’t go to Italy every summer. My boyfriend surprised me with the location which was really nice. I didn’t know where we were going until a few hours before the flight.

We ended up spending the first two nights in Cinque Terre and the last night in Genoa. Cinque Terre is an area that has 5 villages:  Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. They were some of the prettiest places I have ever visited. The villages are all on the coast and are filled with colourful houses making plenty of opportunities for photos. The villages are connected by paths and it is very popular to walk between the villages. I ended up only doing one 90 minute walk  in 30 degree heat which involved lots of very steep hills. The pretty views made up for the aching muscles…I think..

Genoa was also really nice to visit. It is a bit more of a urban area and looks much more like a traditional tourist destination than Cinque Terre. The worst blisters actually managed to come from here though. I quickly learnt that tourists should not be wearing knee high boots.

I took lots of photos and even made an Italy Travel Diary which you can see below.

Seeing as I just started another year at university this means new things are going to be happening. This year I’m the student brand manager for PROPERCORN and Soap & Glory. Look out for lots of exciting things!!

Enjoy <3
